Growing up with insecurities, doubts and fears was a huge theme in Aaliyah's years of adolescence. Being bullied and told she was overweight throughout her childhood, she eventually made a huge transformation, physically, spiritually and mentally, that later led her to yoga.

After beginning her fitness journey in 2020 she started her yoga practice with the willingness to look inward and add to her self development tools. - She quickly learned how much yoga can teach you, on and off the mat.

"When I made the decision to go through with Yoga Teacher Training my best friend was slowly declining from glioblastoma - A Brain Cancer that later took her life. There became a time where her mind and body did not match up anymore. And as she became more immobile and less talkative I knew that if I were to go through it for anyone besides myself, it would be for her."

We move our bodies because we CAN. And because we GET to. Movement is a special thing we often take for granted. By maintaining present and moving with the breathe, you will find yourself more connected to your body and out of the thinking mind.

With a love for sharing her light and vulnerability with others,

Aaliyah completed her training at Unity Hot Yoga with a Baptiste/Power background.

  • Bobby began his mindfulness journey in 2016 with meditation and shortly after started an asana practice at a studio Troy, NY. Here he learned and fell in love with the practice but had to stop due to a basketball injury. Meditation stayed around, but almost as a crutch during difficult times knowing the benefits of calming the mind.

With the tools in hand, seeking a more grounded, peaceful life, Bobby introduced a daily yoga and meditation practice at the start of 2020 and has keep this going since. There was always a lofty dream of becoming a yoga teacher since being introduced to the practice but it didn’t seem possible until he saw he could do it everyday and reap the benefits of this way of life. In fact on a trip to Thailand in 2019 while on the beautiful island of Koh Phangan he asserted that if he were to ever complete a yoga teacher training it would be there. Sure enough in 2023 he ventured off to One Yoga Thailand, on that same island, and completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Now he is ready to share the benefits of the practice with the world starting here at Vibe!
